Lightning protection requirements

Modern theory of lightning protection technology thinks that lightning is the electricity source and lightning protection just provide a way for lightning current to release to ground. Lightning protection can be divided into 4 parts:

1. Protection against direct lightning—Lightning rod

2. Protection against Indirect lightning, lightning electromagnetic pulses, and invasion of lightning wave--SPD

3. Protection against ground potential counterattack—Equipotential protector.

4. Reasonable ground system
